The National Housing Company (NHC) serves as the investment arm of the Ministry of Municipal, Rural Affairs, and Housing in Saudi Arabia. As a leader in the real estate development sector in KSA, NHC strives to deliver quality projects in urban communities, featuring modern designs and diverse housing solutions at reasonable prices. These projects are designed to meet the needs of future generations and improve quality of life, all achieved in partnership with experienced and efficient real estate developers.
NHC has experienced significant growth in recent years. To maintain this momentum and plan for the future, NHC seeks to equip its high-potential employees with the skillsets required for both current and future leaders.
How do you sustain company culture, remain a top employer of choice and prepare your company for future challenges amid high and fast growth?
As the NHC expanded, preserving the culture and values integral to its initial success became crucial. In parallel, nurturing future leaders and equipping high-potential staff to navigate upcoming challenges emerged as a top priority for NHC.
Together with Headspring, NHC created the NHC High Potential Leadership Programme – a programme developed to change mindsets and practical behaviours for upcoming leaders.
The company is growing, KPIs are growing, and expectation from the leadership is super high... the ambition is super high. Shadi Khomeis, Director of Performance and Compliance, National Housing Company, KSA
The programme was fully customised and structured into three modules with multiple learning elements: solidifying real estate and technical skills, business transformation skills, and leadership skills. Each module was designed to cater to each participant’s unique learning style with coaching and immersive experiences throughout the programme.
The programme was blended with face-to-face and online components, including in-person sessions in Saudi Arabia, Madrid and Segovia, facilitated by faculty from IE Business School and leading Financial Times journalists.
‘One challenge that we have in Saudi Arabia is talent retention… the primary reasons for people staying in the organisation is Learning and Development, so we had to pick one of the leading organisations that could help us build the right development. The feedback we’ve received from participants has been excellent. The experience has really addressed important needs at NHC’, says Zuhair Almaqhrabi, Chief Human Resources Officer, NHC.
