HR Talks | Leadership in changing environments
The volatility of the markets together with the changing and complex environment in which we operate, far from stabilizing, will continue and even intensify in the short and medium-term. The changes occur increasingly faster and companies if they want to survive and keep growing, they must adapt, anticipate changes and take advantage of the opportunities they present.
Edurne Pasaban, Spanish climber and the first woman in history to ascend to 14 eight thousand, and Ignacio Álvarez de Mon (PhD), professor of Organizational Behavior and Director of the Academic Area of Human Resources of the Instituto de Empresa led this conversation in the who shared their experiences and their knowledge about leadership in changing environments.
In this environment of uncertainty, leaders adopt different styles to motivate and guide their people. There is no single way to lead and everything depends on the person, his team and the factors that affect the environment. Human Resources professionals have to be able to position themselves as transformational leaders, orienting themselves towards the workers, giving them individual recognition, stimulating them to innovate and surpass themselves; being in turn responsible for their actions and ideas.
At the executive level, the HR manager should position himself as a consultant and agent of change to lead the organization towards new and better business practices.
In this session, we brought together the main professionals responsible for HR from different sectors to discuss strategies for the transformation of organizations and boost their internal flexibility.
The HR Talks sessions bring together an exclusive group of senior executives to discuss leadership challenges, approaches, and strategies. HR Talks are moderated by members of our global network of educators and experts in different fields, facilitating the discussion and exchange of ideas and experiences among HR managers in a private and trusted environment.
